Trail Crew (available May 2010)Trail Crew positions are geared towards those who are interested in environmental studies/education. Applicants must also be physically able to hike long distances and carry at least 60 lbs.Job duties include:- Clearing over 30 miles of trails within the NJ Palisades using power equipment- Landscaping picnic areas- Assisting with public programs and educational walks- Supervising volunteer groups- Repairing/building walls and steps (experience in masonry and/or carpentry a plus)- Recognizing invasive and rare plant species
Pay: $10/hourMonday-Friday 9AM-5PM. Trail Crew members must also work at least 1 one weekend day per month (TBD) to assist with public programs.
